American statue manufacturer Tweeterhead is releasing a new "Masters of the Universe" themed product: the "ScareGlow Legends" 1/5 scale collectible statue. Priced at US$685, it's slated for a June 2027 release!

Scare Glow first appeared in the 1987 "Masters of the Universe" toy line produced by Mattel. He is an evil spirit summoned by the main antagonist, Skeletor, from another dimension. In the 1987 UK "Masters of the Universe" comics, Scare Glow was depicted with the formidable ability to become invisible during the day and terrify enemies with an intense glow at night. His cool design and powers have long made him a fan favorite, and in recent years, his merchandise has become a highly sought-after item within the "Masters of the Universe" series.

This "ScareGlow Legends" 1/5 scale collectible statue stands approximately 52 cm (20.5 inches) tall and is crafted from polystone. It reinterprets Scare Glow's iconic image by blending modern elements while remaining faithful to the original design. The statue depicts him standing atop Snake Mountain, wielding the Scythe of Doom as it emerges from a cloud of fear mist. The sculpting realistically captures the eerie texture of his bones intertwined with muscle. The statue includes two head sculpts, offering both classic and modern interpretations. The fierce facial expressions convey a powerful, oppressive presence, distinctly different from his initial toy appearance.

The Scythe of Doom in his hand and his iconic purple robe are also realistically recreated. While it's currently unclear from the official product images and descriptions whether the statue features the classic glow-in-the-dark function, even without it, the fluorescent gradient on the blade tip and the glowing mist swirling around his feet create subtle, intricate lighting effects. Combined with the exquisitely detailed Snake Mountain-themed base, the statue perfectly exudes a powerful and imposing aura!
