Acclaimed Irish acting duo Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, who recently portrayed a married couple in Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao’s novel adaptation "Hamnet" — a role that earned Buckley an Academy Award at this year’s 98th ceremony — are set to reunite for another project. Their upcoming collaboration will once again feature a prominent romantic storyline.

Mescal and Buckley will co-star in "Hold on to Your Angels," the third feature film from "Beasts of the Southern Wild" director Benh Zeitlin. Production is slated to begin in February 2027, with Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment also involved in the production.
"Hold on to Your Angels" is set in the borderlands of southern Louisiana, following a sin-ridden outlaw and a lost shepherd as they fall into a tumultuous and passionate love affair.
