Developed by Japanese toy manufacturer PLEX and distributed by X-PLUS, the massive-sized toy line known as the "Gigantic Series" (ギガンティックシリーズ) is set to re-release the popular character "Roll" (ロール) from the "Mega Man" game series in August 2026. The figure will be priced at 16,500 JPY.
First launched by CAPCOM on the Nintendo Famicom in December 1987, "Rockman" (known as "Mega Man" in North America) quickly gained immense global popularity. The series is renowned for its core gameplay loop where protagonist Mega Man acquires new weapons by defeating bosses, incorporating a strategic weapon weakness system. Players also enjoy the freedom to choose which boss to tackle next, contributing to the series' challenging yet engaging difficulty.
Roll, designated DRN.002, was also created by Dr. Light in the game, serving as Mega Man's sister and a helpful robot adept at various household tasks. Her name, when paired with "Rock," cleverly forms "Rock'n Roll." She is characterized by her signature red attire and long, golden blonde hair. While making occasional appearances in the games, she often provides Mega Man with helpful tips and guidance.
This X-PLUS release of Roll maintains the Gigantic Series' signature impressive scale, standing approximately 30 cm tall. Roll strikes a wonderfully playful and cute pose, with one eye winking and one hand resting on her knee. Her other hand is raised as if to say "shhh," and her slightly bent posture suggests she's about to share a little secret. Her long, golden blonde hair is tied with a green ribbon, and her iconic red boots complete her classic look. Overall, the figure is incredibly charming and a must-consider for any Mega Man fan looking to add her to their collection.
