Good Smile Company's popular MODEROID model kit line is set to release a figure from the classic 1975 sci-fi anime by Tatsunoko Production, "Tekkaman: The Space Knight"! This kit is scheduled for an October 2026 release and will be priced at 8,500 JPY.
"Tekkaman: The Space Knight" was produced by the legendary Tatsunoko Production and began airing in Japan in July 1975, running for 26 episodes. The story is set in the 21st century, where pollution has brought Earth to the brink of destruction. To save humanity by enabling interstellar migration, the Space Development Center works tirelessly to develop faster-than-light travel. At this critical moment, the villainous Waldaster Empire arrives to conquer the universe, beginning with Earth. Stepping up to repel the invaders is the hero Joji Minami, who possesses the power to transform into the mighty armored warrior, Tekkaman.
This MODEROID model kit of Tekkaman stands approximately 16cm tall, perfectly recreating the look of Joji Minami's transformed state. The figure is fully articulated and features excellent color separation among its parts. Weapon accessories include Tekkaman's double-bladed "Tek Lancer" and his "Tek Win" whip. The whip is made from a soft, flexible material, allowing it to be posed in dynamic, sweeping motions. A set of interchangeable hand parts is also included.
