Japanese toy company Kotobukiya is bringing back its popular "D-Style" series with a classic re-release from the "ZOIDS" universe: the D-STYLE Shield Liger [Clear Parts Append]! This highly anticipated item will have a suggested retail price of 3,300 JPY and is slated for an August 2026 release.
The re-released D-STYLE Shield Liger [Clear Parts Append], the iconic Zoid of original protagonist Van Flyheight, is based on the 2012 D-Style product but updated with modern engineering. Standing at approximately 13 cm tall when assembled, this adorable SD-proportioned kit perfectly captures the blue whirlwind as it tears across the battlefield. It includes an unpainted figure of Van Flyheight, designed to sit in the cockpit. This Kotobukiya-exclusive [Clear Parts Append] version comes with completely clear, unpainted transparent parts, giving builders the freedom to customize their Zoid with their preferred color schemes.
Its flexible articulation allows for a variety of adorable poses, from sitting to dynamic jumping actions. The retractable "AMD Double-Barreled 20mm Beam Gun" on its back can be deployed without needing to swap parts. The deployable missile pods on its sides can be displayed in either open or closed configurations by swapping parts. For even more dynamic display options, pair it with Kotobukiya's M.S.G (Modeling Support Goods) series flying display stands.
