Just as the first trailer for the Netflix novel adaptation "East of Eden" — a series starring Florence Pugh and directed by "Lion" helmer Garth Davis — was released today , the acclaimed duo has already locked in their next collaboration, with news of the project recently made public.
Foreign media outlet Deadline recently reported that Pugh and Davis's next project will also be a novel adaptation, this time tackling the fantasy novel "The Midnight Library."

In "The Midnight Library," Pugh is set to portray Nora Seed, a woman who inadvertently stumbles upon a mysterious library existing between life and death. Within its shelves, each book chronicles a different version of her life, offering Nora countless opportunities to explore alternate realities. In addition to her starring role, Pugh will also serve as a producer on the film.
The screenplay for the film adaptation will be co-penned by Olivier Award winner Laura Wade and Tony Award-nominated playwright Nick Payne. The project entered pre-production this past fall and is slated to commence principal photography in early 2027.
