BANDAI HOBBY, the Gunpla brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, known for its highly detailed aesthetics and refined part construction, has announced its latest release from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam F91": the "Den'an Zon" for its "RE/100" series, slated for an August 2026 release. This item will be exclusively available through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
The XM-01 Den'an Zon was the first mass-production mobile suit developed in Universal Century 0123 by the Crossbone Vanguard, a private military force led by the Ronah family, who advocated for "Cosmo Babylonia" (Cosmic Aristocracy). Its armor material boasted strength comparable to Gundarium alloy, and it was equipped with a new-generation power plant and high-performance goggle-type twin-eye cameras. Thanks to its miniaturized design, the mobile suit achieved exceptional mobility through numerous auxiliary thrusters. Its surplus energy output could also be channeled into new beam weaponry like the Beam Shield and Variable Speed Beam Rifle (V.S.B.R.). For close-quarters combat, both on Earth and in space, it was also armed with a Shot Lancer, capable of firing its tip.
The "RE/100 Den'an Zon" utilizes multi-color molded parts with high-density detailing to faithfully recreate its armor design, which differs from the Den'an Gei and emphasizes close-quarters combat. The spiked shoulder armor is significantly larger than its original design artwork, enhancing the robust feel of the upper body. For the distinctive goggle-type twin-eye camera on its head, builders can choose between two different sensor detail options.
Weapon accessories include four beam effect parts to form the Beam Shield, a Shot Lancer that can replicate both its extended grip and firing tip states, and two Beam Saber hilts that can be stored in the rear skirt armor. While the model kit doesn't feature a full internal frame, it precisely reproduces exposed mechanical frame details in certain areas. Furthermore, the entire body boasts flexible articulation, allowing for dynamic close-quarters combat poses when paired with its weaponry.
