Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has revealed the in-development prototype for their upcoming "ABSOLUTE STRUCTURE Shin Godzilla (2016)" non-scale, non-articulated model kit on their official website! This highly anticipated release is part of their monster-themed "ABSOLUTE STRUCTURE" assembly model series.

Directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, "Shin Godzilla" is the 31st film in the iconic Godzilla series. It features an independent world view, with a premise similar to the original 1954 Godzilla, depicting the first appearance and landing of the "Giant Unidentified Creature" Godzilla in Japan. The film achieved global box office success, grossing 78 million USD, making it the highest-grossing Japanese live-action film of 2016!

The currently revealed prototype images showcase this ABSOLUTE STRUCTURE Godzilla, meticulously crafted based on its terrifying in-film appearance. The sculpt faithfully recreates the creature's ferocious musculature, the organic feel of skin tightly stretched over its skeletal frame, and the rough, textured epidermis. The towering dorsal fins, resembling a forest growing on a mountain ridge, are also exquisitely reproduced. Combined with the powerful, dynamic pose of its tail, the model perfectly captures Shin Godzilla's awe-inspiring presence, making us eagerly anticipate the official release of full details!
