The Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026 kicked off today at Twin Messe Shizuoka, and Bandai Spirits Hobby Division wasted no time, dropping official photos of several new High Grade (HG) model kits from the classic and beloved anime, "Sgt. Frog"!
"Sgt. Frog" (Keroro Gunso), the monthly manga series by Mine Yoshizaki, was adapted into a hit TV anime by Sunrise in 2004. The story follows the hilarious daily misadventures of Sergeant Keroro and his platoon, who were sent from Keron Star to scout Earth for an invasion, only to have their cover blown and end up living with the Hinata family. After a long wait, excitement is building for the all-new feature film, scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on June 26, 2026!
Following the previously revealed "HG New Keroro Robo" slated for a June release, the model kits for the rest of the platoon's mobile weapons have finally been unveiled! Photos from the show floor confirm that the new robots for Private Second Class Tamama, Corporal Giroro, Sergeant Major Kururu, and Lance Corporal Dororo are being produced to the same high standards as the Keroro Robo. These kits faithfully recreate their on-screen designs from the new movie's trailer, featuring intricate parts separation! Detailed product information is expected to be released later, and we can't wait!
