At the 64th Shizuoka Hobby Show, BANDAI SPIRITS' Hobby Division officially revealed prototypes for two long-awaited kits from "After War Gundam X" for their diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla line, the HG (High Grade) series! Fans can finally get their hands on the "HG 1/144 Gundam Virsago" and "HG 1/144 Gundam Ashtaron," scheduled for release in October and November 2026, respectively.
The NRX-0013 Gundam Virsago and NRX-0015 Gundam Ashtaron are next-generation mobile suits developed by the New United Nations Earth after the 7th Space War and piloted by the infamous Frost Brothers. The high-output Gundam Virsago is equipped with a chest-mounted Mega Sonic Cannon that can fire in both focused and wide-beam modes, and it uses its sharp Strike Claws to grapple enemies for devastating point-blank attacks. The transformable Gundam Ashtaron boasts immense size and thrust; in its Mobile Armor (MA) mode, it can carry the Gundam Virsago for high-speed, long-range assaults. The two formidable brothers leverage their perfect coordination and combination tactics to maximize the suits' advantages.

Both the "HG 1/144 Gundam Virsago" and "HG 1/144 Gundam Ashtaron" are being produced with completely new tooling, developed using Bandai's latest technology. They feature the precise details, color separation, and articulation engineering expected of a modern HG kit. While faithfully recreating the sleek armor from the original designs, the kits have been updated with more contemporary proportions and sharper, more angular contours. The Gundam Virsago will replicate its arm extension and abdominal deployment gimmicks, while the Gundam Ashtaron can deploy its massive Atomic Scissors and recreate its combination attacks with the Virsago.
