TAKARA TOMY's premium toy brand, T-SPARK, has teased the upcoming release of the "Blade Liger" from the "ZOIDS" series as part of their "ADAMAS MACHINA" finished die-cast action figure line. Detailed product information is expected to be revealed soon.
The RZ-028 Blade Liger is the successor to the Shield Liger, equipped with the "Organoid System" recovered from ancient ruins. This system significantly enhances its mobility, allowing it to execute high-speed assault tactics using the "Laser Blades" mounted on its waist, capable of slicing enemies in two. Its mane-mounted shield generators also offer superior defensive performance compared to the Shield Liger. Furthermore, the Blade Liger can be outfitted with "Attack Boosters" for additional enhancements; when deployed forward, they function as a beam cannon for improved long-range offense, and when oriented backward, they act as thrusters to boost its maneuverability.
Prototype images of the "ADAMAS MACHINA Blade Liger" have also been released, showcasing a design that, while staying true to the original, takes a different approach compared to the "ADVANCED Zi SERIES" which emphasizes internal mechanical structures. The ADAMAS MACHINA version simultaneously pursues two major themes: "Zoid mobility" and "Zoid ecological structure." This results in the Blade Liger having proportions closer to a real feline, with muscular armor contours. The entire head shape and surrounding mane design are sharper, giving the Blade Liger a distinctly wild and fierce appearance.
