US toy manufacturer Mezco Toyz has unveiled a new Marvel Comics-themed product for their highly popular One:12 Collective 1/12 scale action figure line: the "Spider-Man 2099" 1/12 Scale Action Figure. Priced at $116 USD, it is now available for pre-order on Mezco's official website and is expected to ship in Q4 2026!
Spider-Man 2099, whose real name is Miguel O'Hara, first appeared in 1992's "Spider-Man 2099" #1. A brilliant geneticist working for Alchemax, Miguel sought to resign after discovering the company's unethical human experimentation. However, he was forced by Alchemax Vice President Tyler Stone to ingest an addictive, spider-DNA-infused drug. After a desperate attempt to cure himself, Miguel gained a portion of spider-like abilities and subsequently became the new superhero, Spider-Man 2099!
This One:12 Collective Spider-Man 2099 stands approximately 17 cm (6.7 inches) tall. It appears to be a re-deco of the version released in 2022, featuring updated color tones. The figure showcases the "Unstable Molecules" suit, jointly developed by Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic). The suit's intricate details are faithfully recreated with a composite fabric material, and the back features a translucent web-cape with an embedded posing wire, allowing for dynamic, flowing displays. Accessories include an unmasked Miguel O'Hara head sculpt, a partially unmasked head sculpt, a masked head sculpt with a different expression, six pairs of interchangeable hands, a wrist communicator, a communicator that projects an image of his AI assistant Lyla, and various web-line and web-effect accessories. All these can be combined with the included display base for a perfect presentation of various cool poses! Collectors who missed out on the previous version won't want to miss this opportunity!
