RPG fans, get your wallets ready! Square Enix is launching a brand new line of plastic model kits based on the legendary "Dragon Quest" franchise. Kicking off the series in September 2026 is one of the game's most iconic and formidable foes: the "Killing Machine" (キラーマシン). The kit is priced at 3,960 JPY.
"Dragon Quest" has long been a fan-favorite for merchandise, with its vast bestiary of memorable monsters often taking center stage. From the humble Slime to more imposing threats, the series is packed with charismatic enemies that have captivated gamers for decades. While Square Enix has released numerous PVC figures over the years, they are now venturing into new territory with the "Dragon Quest Plastic Model Series," which aims to bring the game's most unique designs to life in kit form, starting with the Killing Machine. In-game, this relentless automaton is known for its dual-wielding prowess, high-speed double attacks, and party-wide special moves, all wrapped in a cold, metallic shell that screams merciless hunter.
This brand-new Killing Machine plastic model kit from Square Enix stands at approximately 10.5cm tall once assembled. Thanks to excellent parts separation, the kit promises a high level of detail right out of the box. It's a snap-fit kit, requiring no glue, making it accessible for builders of all skill levels while also being perfect for customization and painting. Both of its weapon-wielding arms (equipped with a sword and crossbow) and its four legs feature an impressive range of articulation, allowing you to recreate its dynamic and menacing poses from the game. A sheet of dedicated stickers is included to ensure a great-looking finish without any need for paint. Interestingly, the kit is being manufactured at Good Smile Company's "Lucky Factory" in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture.
