Japanese figure manufacturer Good Smile Company (GSC) is set to release the "Hatsune Miku: Smile x Future Ver." 1/7 scale figure, a product stemming from the "1st Hatsune Miku x Good Smile Illustration Contest." Based on the immensely popular "Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku," this stunning piece is priced at 32,800 JPY and is slated for a July 2027 release.
The "Hatsune Miku x Good Smile Illustration Contest," which launched in 2025 with the slogan "Your Illustration, Made into a Figure," invited artists to submit illustrations of Piapro Characters across 12 distinct themes. Grand Prize winners for each theme were awarded a cash prize and the unique opportunity to have their artwork immortalized as a scale figure. With all 12 winning designs slated for future commercialization, collectors are eagerly awaiting subsequent releases.
The "Hatsune Miku: Smile x Future Ver." 1/7 scale figure is a stunning three-dimensional interpretation of illustrator Okadaminatoka's winning artwork, which depicted Hatsune Miku as a "Figure Repair Technician" for the "Smile x Future" theme of the 1st Hatsune Miku x Good Smile Illustration Contest. Standing approximately 26.5 cm tall, the figure meticulously recreates the delicate and soft color palette of the original illustration, utilizing clear parts and other materials.
