TAKARA TOMY’s high-target hobby brand T-SPARK has announced a new addition to its 1/100 scale articulated plastic model kit series, “REALIZE MODEL”. The latest release is the “RMZ-022 Murasame Liger” from the anime series Zoids: Genesis, with pre-orders beginning in May 2026 and release scheduled for late December 2026.
The Murasame Liger, the personal Zoid of protagonist Ruuji Familon, is a lion-type Zoid excavated from the seabed near Mirodo Village. Built with an ultra-lightweight frame, it boasts exceptional mobility with a top speed of 310 km/h, while its back-mounted “Murasame Blade” can slice through virtually any object. The Murasame Liger also hides an advanced technology known as “Evolut” — or Special Evolution — allowing it to instantly transform in response to the pilot’s will. In addition to evolving into forms such as the Hayate Liger and Mugen Liger, it can even regenerate its body together with its core and return from the brink, as long as the cockpit remains intact.
The “RMZ-022 Murasame Liger” recreates the anime version’s color scheme with multiple molded-color parts. Its overall design has been reworked based on past media appearances, CG models, and toy releases, striking a balance between raw power and high-speed agility. The model features flexible articulated joints and a variety of mechanisms inspired by the anime setting. Multi-axis articulation, ball-joint connections, and pull-out joints are incorporated throughout the body, allowing for dynamic, animal-like running, leaping, and roaring poses. The limbs can also achieve natural outward and inward stances, while three points of articulation in the feet help maintain stable ground contact.
For its armaments, the kit recreates the cannons positioned around the chest area as well as its signature back-mounted weapon, the Murasame Blade. Thanks to the movable support arm and the semicircular rail base around the waist, the Murasame Blade can be deployed upward, to the left or right, and toward the front, making it possible to display the model in powerful combat poses. The blade part can also be removed and displayed on its own. Accessories include two same-scale pilot figures — Ruuji and a general soldier — and the head cockpit hatch can be opened to place them inside.
