Bandai Spirits' Collectors Toy Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has officially teased a major new "collectible figure" project stemming from the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" series. Further details are expected to be revealed at a later date.

With the 2024 release of the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," the first Gundam series of the 21st century, has reached another peak in popularity since its original broadcast in 2002. Not only has the buzz fully reignited, but a continuous stream of model kits and merchandise has also been released. During today's "Gundam Conference SPRING 2026" presentation, Bandai also finally announced "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO," a prequel to "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," will be released as a movie. Footage from the teaser trailer suggests the story will center around the "Strike Freedom Gundam Hijacking Incident," which took place six months prior to the main story.
Returning to the large-scale project teased by TAMASHII NATIONS, Bandai is currently keeping the product details under wraps. It's unclear whether "large-scale" refers to the physical size of the figures or the overall scope of the project. However, given the timing of the announcement, it's highly probable that it will involve mobile suits featured in the newly announced "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO."
