Megahouse, a prominent Japanese figure manufacturer, has unveiled the prototype for its latest addition to the "GGG (Gundam Girls Generation)" figure series. This line brings female characters from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" franchise to life with exquisite sculpting. The newest release, "Cagalli Yula Athha (Pilot Suit Ver.)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," was revealed on the character's birthday. A release date is yet to be determined.
Cagalli Yula Athha, one of the series' main protagonists, is the fraternal twin sister of Kira Yamato. Shortly after her birth, she was adopted by Uzumi Nara Athha, then the representative of the Orb Union. Despite her status as a "princess" of a neutral nation, Cagalli received formal training at the Orb Military Academy during her student years. She even personally traveled to Africa to lead the "Desert of Dawn" resistance group against ZAFT's formidable commander, Andrew Waltfeld, famously known as the "Desert Tiger." Cagalli possesses exceptional physical prowess and Mobile Suit piloting skills. Witnessing the world's devastation further solidified her resolve to protect her nation and strive for peace, ultimately leading her to inherit her father's will and become the new Chief Representative of Orb.
Based on the currently released prototype images, the "GGG Cagalli Yula Athha (Pilot Suit Ver.)" will be based on her appearance from the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom" movie. The figure captures Cagalli showcasing the ring Athrun Zala gave her, with her pilot suit partially unzipped to reveal her signature vest. Further product details will be announced at a later date.
