MegaHouse, the renowned Japanese figure maker, has revealed the painted sample back view for the latest entry in its new sub-series, "Lucrea Lite," featuring "Athrun Zala Pilot Suit Ver." from the hit theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM." This new line is a spin-off from their high-quality, anime-themed character figure series "Lucrea," offering more accessible pricing and display-friendly sizes. Full product details are anticipated to be unveiled shortly.
Athrun Zala, another key Coordinator protagonist in the series, began as a red-uniformed elite pilot for the ZAFT military and a childhood friend of Kira Yamato. Their paths diverged dramatically, leading them to clash as bitter enemies on the battlefield. After witnessing the devastating consequences of war and reconciling with Kira thanks to Cagalli's intervention, Athrun defected from ZAFT. He joined the independent faction led by Lacus Clyne, playing a pivotal role in bringing an end to two major conflicts. In the recent "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" theatrical film, he returns to the Orb Union military, under the leadership of his beloved Cagalli, and secretly aids Kira, Lacus, and the world peace monitoring organization COMPASS as a member of the intelligence group Terminal.
The recently unveiled back view of the "Lucrea Lite Athrun Zala Pilot Suit Ver." painted sample confirms a design approach similar to the previously announced "Kira Yamato Pilot Suit Ver." The figure captures Athrun in his theatrical film pilot suit, holding his helmet. Further product details are expected to be announced soon.
