Henry Cavill's well-documented passion for "Warhammer 40,000" is once again making headlines. While on location in Poland filming the upcoming "Highlander" reboot, Cavill took a break to interact with fans and received a special gift from a local game store owner: a "Warhammer Horus Heresy: Legio Custodes Battle Group" model kit.

For any "Warhammer 40,000" player, the gift was particularly fitting. The Adeptus Custodes, often referred to as the Emperor's Custodians, are the Emperor's personal bodyguards in the lore, boasting combat prowess that even surpasses the legendary Space Marines. Clad in gleaming golden armor, they are tasked with safeguarding the very heart of the Imperium of Man. Cavill has frequently expressed his admiration for the Custodes, having shared videos of his model painting and even revealing "Horus Heresy" books on his table during his recovery from an injury sustained while filming "Highlander" previously.
BenzOC, the owner of the game store in Łódź, Poland, who presented the gift, shared on Reddit that it was a "great experience." He expressed his hope that Cavill would take away fond "Warhammer" memories from his time in the city. BenzOC also mentioned that Cavill was delighted with the present and jokingly hoped the actor might return to Łódź in the future to film "Warhammer"-related content.

Cavill is currently involved in Amazon's ambitious plans for a "Warhammer 40,000" cinematic universe, though the project remains in its nascent stages. Games Workshop previously indicated that Amazon controls the release timeline for these adaptations, cautioning fans that results might not be immediate. Nevertheless, with Cavill's direct involvement and his role in shaping the project's direction, fans maintain high expectations for the live-action endeavor.
Beyond "Warhammer 40,000," Cavill also received "The Witcher"-themed gifts on the Polish set. Given his portrayal of Geralt in the Netflix series and his known fandom for the game franchise, this gesture from Poland, the homeland of "The Witcher," held particular significance.
