Japanese manufacturer Kotobukiya has unveiled a new figure under its OSHI WORKS brand—a line focused on fan-favorite characters ("oshi") with accessible pricing and a diverse lineup. Following the reveal of their Maomao, the company has now announced another key character from the hit anime series "The Apothecary Diaries": Jinshi! The figure is slated for a December 2026 release with a suggested retail price of 9,350 JPY.
Jinshi is a high-ranking eunuch who manages the affairs of the rear palace. Claiming to be 24 years old, he possesses an ethereal, almost divine beauty that captivates both men and women. However, his personality is stubborn and often unscrupulous. After discovering Maomao's hidden talents and her complete indifference to his stunning looks, he develops a fascination with her, often teasing her with infuriating antics.
This non-scale figure of Jinshi stands at approximately 25cm tall, capturing the height difference between him and Maomao. The sculpt faithfully reproduces his handsome, refined features. His ornate, traditional Chinese-style attire is rendered with incredible detail, showcasing the elegant design and the natural-looking folds of the fabric. Finer details, like his flowing long hair and the fan held in his hand, have also been meticulously recreated. Furthermore, the figure's base is equipped with a magnetic connector on the side, allowing it to link up with other figures in the same series for a perfect paired display with the simultaneously announced Maomao!
