Chinese toy brand HIYA Toys, renowned for its high-quality Godzilla collectibles under the EXQUISITE BASIC series, is launching a new "Biollante" action figure based on the film "Godzilla vs. Biollante." Priced at US$149.99, it's slated for a Q3 2027 release!
The 1989 film "Godzilla vs. Biollante" (ゴジラvsビオランテ) continues the narrative from the 1984 "Godzilla." In the story, the Japanese government researches Godzilla cells to create Anti-Nuclear Bacteria (ANB). Dr. Genichiro Shiragami, a participant in the project, injects his deceased daughter's cells into a rose to preserve her soul after she was killed in a terrorist attack. These cells later merge with Godzilla cells, giving birth to the colossal plant monster, Biollante.
This new Biollante figure stands approximately 20 cm (7.9 inches) tall and boasts an impressive width of 40 cm (15.7 inches). It captures Biollante's iconic plant-beast form with exquisite detail. The sculpt meticulously reproduces Biollante's most recognizable feature: its gaping maw filled with razor-sharp fangs. The intricate, intertwined vines covering its body and the rough, bark-like skin texture are also rendered with delicate realism.
