As the release date for the 20th-anniversary film, "New Sgt. Frog The Movie: Revival! Earth's Doomsday Crisis!", draws near, Bandai Spirits' Hobby Division has unveiled several new products in its HG (High Grade) robot model kit series! This article introduces the "HG New Dororo Robo," priced at 3,080 JPY and slated for a December 2026 release!
The new film, "New Sgt. Frog The Movie: Revival! Earth's Doomsday Crisis!", marks the franchise's return to theaters after 16 years. It features the familiar original production team, with Yuichi Fukuda serving as screenwriter and general director, and Fumiaki Tachizaki as director, aiming to bring the Keroro Platoon back to wreak havoc in the anime world! Beyond their daily lives residing with the Hinata family, new invaders are stirring up trouble, forcing the Keroro Platoon to mobilize once more—perhaps even to protect Planet Earth itself?
The "HG New Dororo Robo" model kit makes its debut with an entirely new design! This kit faithfully recreates Sergeant Dororo's mobile weapon, appearing as an armored, enlarged version of Dororo himself. Its ninja-inspired mechanical aesthetic is both charming and cool. Equipped with the "Keroro Action System," the kit boasts flexible articulation for dynamic posing. It comes packed with various accessories, including blue clear effect parts, a shield, the Keroro Gun, and Dororo's Katana. The armed backpack on its back can transform into a giant shuriken and can even combine with other platoon members' kits for a massive backpack configuration! Furthermore, the Dororo pilot figure included with the "Sgt. Frog Model Kit Dororo Robo Mk-II," released years ago, can be placed inside this new kit's cockpit—a perfect treat for both veteran and new fans!
