The new live-action "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" film, based on Mattel's best-selling toy IP, held its world premiere in Los Angeles yesterday, garnering enthusiastic reviews from various media outlets. As the film begins its theatrical run, certain key plot points, initially kept under wraps as surprises, are now being openly discussed. Among them, veteran action star Dolph Lundgren, who previously starred in a live-action "Masters of the Universe" film years ago, has directly confirmed his return for a cameo role in the new production.

Lundgren, who famously played He-Man in the 1987 live-action film "Masters of the Universe," was invited to attend the premiere yesterday. He was photographed alongside the new film's lead, Nicholas Galitzine (pictured left, above). During an interview with Variety magazine at the premiere, Lundgren openly admitted to his small part: "I am in it. I have a small part, where he [Galitzine] needs some guidance, and I come in and give him some pointers. It was kind of surreal, talking to my younger self."
Lundgren was previously asked by the media last year about a potential return to the new film, but his response at the time was more ambiguous, suggesting audiences would have to wait until the release to find out for themselves. With the film now nearing its debut, he has finally revealed his involvement.
