Bandai Shokugan's Angel Pocket Miniature Collection & Chocoboro Turns Classic Playsets into Mini Charms!

Bandai Candy, the shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd., is set to release a new product line themed around the classic "Angel Pocket" toys. Titled "Angel Pocket Miniature Collection & Chocoboro," each box will have a suggested retail price of 360 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2026!

The Polly Pocket series was originally launched in 1989 by British toy company Bluebird Toys. It was created by designer Chris Wiggs for his daughter, Kate. The line's core concept was to condense entire scenes or stories into miniature, portable sizes, allowing for interactive play with tiny figures and environments. Angel Pocket, on the other hand, was Bandai's localized version of Polly Pocket, developed and produced for the Japanese market after they acquired the license in the 1990s.

This "Angel Pocket Miniature Collection & Chocoboro" release will randomly include one Angel Pocket mini charm with each pack of the popular strawberry-flavored chocolate cookie snack, Chocoboro (チョコボーロ). It features four distinct playset themes: "My Favorite Pony," "Seaside Villa," "Best Friends Daycare," and "Delicious Cake Restaurant." Each playset is divided into two variations – the playset body and a character figure – making for a total of eight different items to collect. Despite their miniature size, these charms faithfully recreate the intricate details of the original series' playsets. Paired with their respective characters, they're sure to be an eye-catching accessory when clipped to your bag!
