BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectible toy division is releasing a new entry in their HI-METAL R die-cast figure series: the "Brutishdog" from the classic anime "Armored Trooper VOTOMS," scheduled for release in October 2026.
The ATM-09-GC Brutishdog is a specialized Armored Trooper (AT) designed for Perfect Soldiers, modified from the standard Scopedog. It features a distinctive pink coloration and is famously piloted by the protagonist, Fiana, in the series. While its fixed armaments limit its versatility, the unit boasts significantly enhanced firepower. Equipped with a heavy-duty PRSP backpack designed for larger units, it offers increased output and extended PR fluid exchange times, allowing for prolonged periods of "high-speed maneuverability."
The "HI-METAL R Brutishdog" is based on previously released Scopedog series figures. The entire unit's color scheme has been updated to the Brutishdog's signature rose-red armor, with accurate reproductions of its distinct markings. Additionally, it includes a brand-new, fully articulated "Fiana" figure in the same scale. This elegant figure boasts extensive articulation, features interchangeable head parts for helmeted and unhelmeted looks, and can be placed inside the cockpit to recreate piloting scenes.
Key joints incorporate die-cast parts, providing a satisfying sense of weight from its heavy armor while ensuring stable articulation and a wide range of motion. The AT also features multiple movable gimmicks, including newly sculpted, rotatable large rollers on the heels, an opening head armor to reveal the cockpit, and numerous articulation points in the lower body to achieve various landing poses. For armaments, the right arm's high-firepower Gatling Gun and Metal Claw are recreated with new sculpts, and the PRSP backpack on its back includes a mechanism for storing magazine parts.
