BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's division in Japan has announced the release of the "Kamen Rider Faiz Night Color Ver." as a commemorative item for the "TAMASHII NATIONS LIVE ACTION FIGURE EXPO 2026." This special edition of the "S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou" series, which sculpts figures from the skeletal structure to accurately recreate the physique of tokusatsu actors, is slated for a July 2026 release.
In "Kamen Rider 555," protagonist Takumi Inui transforms into Kamen Rider Faiz, a specialized combat suit formed by the "Gear" external devices developed by SmartBrain. Its head features a distinctive "Φ" design, and vibrant red Photon Blood flows through the Photon Frames covering its entire body, glowing brilliantly in the dark. Only Orphnochs capable of controlling this Photon Blood are eligible to transform. Faiz's most iconic special move is the "Crimson Smash" kick, which injects Photon Blood into the leg-mounted Faiz Pointer. While Faiz's default output is limited for safety, it boasts superior weapon expandability and can temporarily unleash its full power by switching to "Accel Form."
The "S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Faiz Night Color Ver." is a revamped version of the standard release from 2023, featuring a completely overhauled paint scheme to better capture its appearance in nighttime scenes from the show. The silver armor sections have been replaced with a gunmetal finish, boasting metallic particles and a subtle sheen. The left arm retains the Accel Form part, equipped with the enhanced "Faiz Accel." Furthermore, the red Photon Blood flowing throughout the body, the compound eyes on the head, and the signal lights are all painted with fluorescent pigments, allowing them to glow under blacklight illumination.
The overall articulation inherits the advanced engineering developed for the S.H.Figuarts line, featuring flexible joints in the neck, torso, and limbs to achieve dynamic punching and kicking poses. Unlike previous versions where the shoulder armor was fixed to the arm, this release adopts a new design that connects it to the body, allowing for more natural arm movements. The ankle armor is crafted from soft material to minimize articulation interference.
Regarding accessories, the "Faiz Pointer" comes with two parts: one for belt attachment and another for its weaponized "Kick Mode." The "Kick Mode" part can be attached to the right leg, allowing collectors to recreate the "EXCEED CHARGE" pose just before executing the "Crimson Smash" special attack. The "Faiz Phone" includes three parts: with and without the mission memory card, and its "Phone Blaster Mode." The "Faiz Shot" is also provided in two sizes: one for the belt and one for handheld use.
