Hong Kong-based model kit manufacturer FLAME TOYS is launching an exciting new addition to its "Furai Model" series, drawing from the fan-favorite "Transformers: Shattered Glass" universe. Get ready for the "Shattered Glass Optimus Prime Ver. #2008" model kit, set to retail for $55 USD with an anticipated release in December 2026!
"Transformers: Shattered Glass" is a beloved alternate universe concept that first debuted at BOTCON in 2008. In this intriguing reality, the traditional roles of heroes and villains are completely reversed, with characters sporting distinct designs and color schemes that set them apart from their mainstream counterparts.
The "Shattered Glass Optimus Prime Ver. #2008" stands approximately 15.5 cm tall once assembled. Its design meticulously recreates the iconic 2008 "Shattered Glass" aesthetic, featuring a sleek, streamlined sculpt. The figure's signature purple and blue color scheme is faithfully reproduced using vibrant molded plastic. While this model kit does not transform, it boasts an impressive 45 points of articulation throughout its body, allowing collectors to achieve a wide array of dynamic poses. Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands, arm guards, two blasters that can be conveniently stored on its back, an energy sword, and an energy axe, perfect for recreating epic battle scenes.
