Figure manufacturer Hobby Max Japan has officially unveiled its latest product from "Neon Genesis Evangelion": the Misato Katsuragi (Manga Ver.) 1/7 Scale Figure. The figure is priced at 23,980 JPY and is scheduled for release in April 2027.
One of the most important characters in "Neon Genesis Evangelion," Misato Katsuragi serves as the commander of NERV's Tactical Operations department. Her duties include directing and monitoring the EVA pilots and masterminding combat strategies. While she's a consummate professional on the job, as the guardian to Shinji Ikari and Asuka, she reveals her more relaxed "big sister" side—a messy apartment, terrible sleeping habits, and an absolute need for an ice-cold beer after a bath. She remains a massive fan-favorite both in and out of the series.
The Hobby Max Japan Misato Katsuragi (Manga Ver.) 1/7 Scale Figure is based on a cover illustration from the manga published by KADOKAWA. The sculpt perfectly captures the character's spirit, depicting her in a slightly tilted pose with her red jacket casually draped over her shoulders. The figure's graceful silhouette perfectly showcases Misato's mature charm.
Her striking jacket is finished with a glossy, leather-like paint application, while her signature purple hair is accentuated with soft, gradual color transitions. The pistol held in her right hand further enhances the figure's tension and presence, perfectly aligning with the world of the original work.
