The live-action "Paddington" film series continues its impressive run. While the third installment, "Paddington in Peru," released two years ago, saw a significant budget increase, it still garnered over $200 million worldwide and maintained the critical acclaim of its predecessors. This success prompted Studiocanal, one of the series' production companies, to announce that both a fourth film and a spin-off were already in development the same year "Paddington in Peru" premiered.

Armando Iannucci, creator of the HBO series "Veep," and Simon Blackwell, one of "Veep"'s writers, are set to join the project as screenwriters. A release date has not yet been set.
