BANDAI SPIRITS' BANDAI HOBBY division, renowned for its 1/100 scale Master Grade (MG) Gundam model kits featuring intricate part separation, internal frames, and extensive articulation, has announced the latest release from "Gundam Sentinel": the "Gundam Mk-V (Federation Color)", slated for October 2026. This item will be exclusively available through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
The ORX-013 Gundam Mk-V is a mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces during the Titans era, intended to miniaturize and mass-produce the "Psycho Gundam". Despite bearing the "Gundam" name, its internal structure differs significantly from existing RX-78 series Gundams. It features a "Quasi-Psycommu System" that can be operated by regular pilots, allowing for all-range attacks previously exclusive to Newtype pilots when combined with the "Incoms" mounted on its shoulders.
The "MG 1/100 Gundam Mk-V (Federation Color)" is a revised version of the previously released standard kit. It reinterprets the original blue color scheme of the New Desides leader Brave Cod's personal unit, presenting the Gundam in its initial gray-white Federation Forces factory colors. The kit also includes a newly sculpted Federation-spec "Beam Rifle" and a sheet of water-slide decals with various new markings.
The kit boasts precise part separation and color molding, with all red sections on the mobile suit molded as separate pieces. New joint parts allow this larger-than-average mobile suit to strike dynamic poses, particularly with a new front skirt connection mechanism designed to minimize interference with thigh articulation. For weaponry, the kit includes a Beam Rifle, Beam Sabers, a Shield, and Incoms. The shield accurately reproduces its thruster connection to the backpack, while the Incoms can be stored in the backpack or deployed using metallic lead wires to recreate their firing state. The backpack-mounted Beam Sabers can rotate to the chest sides to form Beam Cannons, and the missile pods on both shoulders feature opening hatches to reveal the internal warhead structures.
