TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has officially announced a new themed product under its "Figuarts ZERO" character figure brand. This exciting release, the "Monkey D. Luffy Gear 5" pre-painted figure, will be exclusively available at the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP, the official new concept store located on the 4th floor of Shinjuku Marui Main Building in Tokyo. Priced at 11,000 JPY, the figure is slated for release in July 2026!
Luffy's Gear 5 form made its highly anticipated debut in anime episode 1071. This powerful transformation emerged when Luffy was pushed to the brink against Kaido in the Wano Country Arc, revealing the awakened ability of the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika—a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit, originally believed to be the Gum-Gum Fruit. This form allows Luffy to fight with cartoon-like freedom and imbue his surroundings with rubbery properties. The Five Elders famously call it the "most ridiculous ability," and it's widely regarded as the embodiment of freedom!
This ONE PIECE BASE SHOP exclusive Gear 5 Luffy figure stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. It dynamically depicts Luffy in his Gear 5 form, triumphantly standing atop the Shinjuku Marui Main Building while proudly holding up the "ONE PIECE BASE SHOP" logo. The sculpting meticulously recreates his abdominal muscle lines and the intricate folds of his clothing. Even the surrounding Shinjuku cityscape, now comically distorted and rubbery due to his awakened powers, is exquisitely rendered. The base further enhances its commemorative value, featuring a blue gradient with the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP logo. This is a must-have piece for any collector planning a visit to the store!
