Super Robot Wars OG HG Alteisen Riese Model Kit Announced! Supervised by Takanobu Terada, the Kit Features a Hulking Frame and Deployable Claymore Launchers!

Bandai Spirits' Hobby Division has officially revealed the latest entry in its High Grade (HG) model kit line: the "Alteisen Riese" from the hit video game series "Super Robot Wars OG"! This highly anticipated kit is slated for a December 2026 release.

Piloted by Kyosuke Nanbu, the PTX-003-SP1 Alteisen Riese is a heavily upgraded version of the original Alteisen. In the "Super Robot Wars Compact 2" and "Impact" storylines, Kyosuke proposed this extreme modification—pushing the Alteisen's core concepts of "firepower, breakthrough capability, and armor" to their absolute limits—to rescue his captured love, Excellen Browning. The Riese variant swaps the right arm for the massive "Revolving Stake," the left arm for a "Five-Barrel Chain Gun," and expands the size and ammo capacity of its shoulder-mounted "Claymore Launchers." It also features a large booster backpack, modified from spare parts of the Weissritter, allowing for short-term flight and the execution of its devastating "Aerial Claymore" attack.

The "HG Alteisen Riese" is fully supervised by former "Super Robot Wars" series producer Takanobu Terada. It utilizes newly molded parts to faithfully recreate its distinct, more powerful and bulky silhouette compared to the original Alteisen, including its signature fixed armaments like the Revolving Stake, Five-Barrel Chain Gun, and Shoulder Claymores. The kit boasts precise parts separation and color molding, using multiple runners in white, dark gray, yellow, and red. Combined with a few color-correcting stickers, a straight build will closely replicate the mecha's iconic look right out of the box.

An effect part is included to replicate the glowing state of the "Plasma Horn" on its head. Each weapon system also features its own articulation and gimmicks. The massive "Shoulder Claymore" launchers include a hatch-opening mechanism, while the multi-directional thrusters and the Tesla Drive's stabilizer wings on the backpack are all fully articulated.
