Bandai Spirits, under its Bandai Hobby division, has announced the latest addition to its character model kit line, '30 MINUTES PREFERENCE' (30MP): the Homura Akemi (Walpurgisnacht: Rising Ver.), based on the upcoming anime film 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-'. This new model kit is slated for release in November 2026.
Set to premiere in Japan on August 28, 2026, 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-' serves as the official sequel to 2013's 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Rebellion-'. The film reunites the original creative team, including general director Akiyuki Shinbo, scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi, original character designer Ume Aoki, and composer Yuki Kajiura, with animation by SHAFT. It promises a brand-new story centered around the two main protagonists, Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi.
The 30MP Homura Akemi (Walpurgisnacht: Rising Ver.) meticulously recreates her newly designed magical girl outfit from the movie, utilizing precise part separation and multi-color molding techniques. Each section of her costume is rendered in its distinct color, with the iconic purple diamond pattern on her black tights also faithfully reproduced through color molding. The dark gem on her left hand, symbolizing 'Devil Homura,' is achieved using advanced 'insert molding' technology. Accessories revealed so far include two pre-painted face parts, a blank face part for custom expressions, and water-slide decals. More accessories may be announced as the movie's release approaches and plot details are unveiled.
