As the release date for the 20th Anniversary film "Sgt. Frog: The Movie - Revived! Earth's Doomsday Crisis!" draws near, Bandai Spirits Hobby Division has unveiled several new themed products for its High Grade (HG) robot model kit series! This article introduces the "HG New GIRORO Robo," priced at 3,080 JPY (tax included) and slated for release in November 2026.
The first new theatrical film in 16 years, "Sgt. Frog: The Movie - Revived! Earth's Doomsday Crisis!" brings back the familiar original production team, with Yuichi Fukuda as screenwriter and general director, and Fumiaki Tachizaki as director. The movie aims to have the Keroro Platoon wreak havoc in the anime world once again! Beyond their daily lives residing with the Hinata family, new invaders cause a major stir, forcing the Keroro Platoon to mobilize once more – perhaps even to protect the Blue Star?
The "HG New GIRORO Robo" model kit features a completely new design, faithfully recreating the "Red Devil of the Battlefield"! This mobile weapon, used by Sergeant Giroro, boasts a formidable, militaristic design, appearing as an armored, enlarged version of Giroro himself. It comes packed with accessories, including a red clear effect part for the head, a shield, an axe, and a dedicated rifle. The armed backpack on its back can transform into a giant cannon and can even combine with other platoon members' machines to form a massive backpack! Equipped with the "Keroro Action System," the kit allows for a wide range of dynamic poses. Furthermore, the Giroro figure included with the previously released "Sgt. Frog Plamo Giroro Robo Mk-II" can be placed inside this product's cockpit, enhancing playability!
