With the 20th-anniversary movie, "Sgt. Frog the Super Movie: The Rebirth and the Imminent Danger of Earth's Demise! That's What I'm Talkin' About!," on the horizon, the Bandai Spirits Hobby Division is rolling out a new wave of kits for its High Grade (HG) model line! Next up is the "HG New Kururu Robo," slated for an October 2026 release with a suggested price of 3,080 JPY!
The first new theatrical feature in 16 years, "Sgt. Frog the Super Movie: The Rebirth and the Imminent Danger of Earth's Demise! That's What I'm Talkin' About!," brings back the original creative team, with Yuichi Fukuda serving as writer and general director and Fumitoshi Oizaki as director, ensuring the Keroro Platoon is ready to wreak havoc on the anime world once again! Beyond their daily life mooching off the Hinata family, this time a new invader causes a massive uproar, forcing the Keroro Platoon to mobilize. Could they actually be... defending the Earth this time?
The "HG New Kururu Robo" model kit features an all-new design recreating Sergeant Kururu's signature mobile weapon. Even in its armored form, the design hilariously captures Kururu's iconic swirl glasses and orange-yellow color scheme. The kit comes loaded with accessories, including yellow translucent effect parts for the head, a shield, an axe, and a Keroro Gun. Lead wires are also included to replicate the dynamic deployment of its remote weapons! By reconfiguring the backpack, the mech can transform into its Full Armor Mode and can even combine with other platoon mechs to form a giant backpack unit! The play possibilities are endless!
Equipped with the "Keroro Action System," the model boasts incredible articulation for a wide range of dynamic poses. Additionally, for long-time fans, the Kururu figure that came with the classic "Sgt. Frog Plamo Collection Kururu Robo Mk-II" kit can be placed inside the cockpit of this new release!
