According to recent reports, CD Projekt Red has unveiled a new expansion for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," which would see players return to Geralt's adventures in 2027. However, this appears to be just one of many surprises from the studio. According to the company's latest financial report, CDPR still has several unannounced projects in late-stage development, with some content potentially launching as early as this year.

In its financial report, CDPR stated that other unannounced projects previously disclosed by the parent company in periodic reports have now also entered late-stage development, making them potential candidates for release in the coming quarters of the current and next fiscal years. During the subsequent earnings call and Q&A session, several executives further confirmed that among these unannounced projects, two are game-related, while another is a "non-gaming project."
The specific form of the non-gaming project has not yet been revealed by officials. Outside speculation suggests it could be related to TV series, films, or comic book adaptations of CDPR's "The Witcher" or "Cyberpunk 2077" IPs.

CDPR's currently known development pipeline also includes "The Witcher 4," a "Cyberpunk" sequel, a remake of the original "The Witcher," and Project Hadar. Officials also specifically emphasized that this upcoming expansion is not a typical DLC, but rather a major expansion featuring a new story, characters, and substantial hours of gameplay. For players, the prospect of returning to "The Witcher 3" in 2027 is already enough to build anticipation while awaiting the studio's next wave of new projects to be officially unveiled.
