Japanese model company Kaiyodo's popular "REVOLTECH" action figure brand, under the production direction of renowned sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, has unveiled a new DC Comics-themed addition to its "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI" series: the "Black Flash" action figure. With a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY, the figure is scheduled for release in February 2027!
The Black Flash made its brief debut in June 1998 in "The Flash" Vol. 2, Issue #138, and officially appeared in Issue #141 in September 1998. Representing the dark aspect of the Speed Force, Black Flash can disrupt time and sever Speedsters' connection to the Speed Force, acting as a "grim reaper" for super-speed characters, guiding them back to the source of their power.
This AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Black Flash stands approximately 17 cm tall, featuring the series' signature sharp, tension-filled musculature. The paint application delivers a detailed, almost wet-look texture, which, combined with its realistic, zombie-like visage, creates an intensely oppressive presence! Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands, an alternate head sculpt, and numerous red lightning effect parts with black gradients, perfect for recreating dynamic high-speed running effects. Collectors can also display it alongside the previously released The Flash and Reverse-Flash figures to recreate thrilling Speedster races! Additionally, pre-ordering through select retailers will include an exclusive damaged mask head sculpt, offering even more display options!
