Tekkaman Blade (D-Boy) from INFINITE STATUE
Straight out of the 1992 TV anime series "Tekkaman Blade," this figure perfectly recreates the "Blade" form of the protagonist, D-Boy, after his transformation.
Standing approximately 17cm tall, the figure is primarily constructed from ABS, PVC, POM, and die-cast alloy. Accessories include a lance, shield, Wire, two V-Tekkers, a crystal, and various hand parts (fists, open hands, two weapon-holding hands), along with a Pegas-inspired display stand.
While faithfully reproducing the character's iconic appearance, the figure incorporates modern aesthetic detailing. Its full-body articulation allows for a wide range of motion, making it easy to achieve diverse poses. Key components utilize die-cast alloy, providing a satisfyingly hefty feel in hand and standing out as a major highlight of the product.
The accessories include multiple interchangeable parts such as the lance, shield, and Wire. The Tekkaman Shield can be mounted in two positions: on the lower back or the left forearm. The Wire features an internal metal core, allowing for flexible posing to create dynamic combat stances. Shoulder-mounted LED light-up components accurately recreate the special attack, "Voltekka." A dedicated display stand, inspired by Pegas, is included, allowing for the recreation of the "Voltekka" pose.
With so many strong competitors in the market, INFINITE STATUE truly needs to carve out a new path to make its products stand out!
As the manufacturer's second product, its appearance is undeniably excellent, with perfectly expressed curves and lines. The primary area for improvement is the polished or glossy finish on the white parts, which gives them a somewhat "plasticky" feel. Additionally, the detail expression isn't entirely perfect, but that's the only other minor point.
As mentioned, many Tekkaman Blade products have been released. INFINITE STATUE has achieved a commendable level in both appearance and playability. However, the compelling reason to acquire another Tekkaman Blade product, beyond the aforementioned strengths, is undoubtedly the price! At HK$680, this high quality is a truly powerful advantage, completely overshadowing the two minor drawbacks mentioned earlier.
For appearance, quality, and articulation, I encourage you to judge for yourselves by looking at the images. Personally, I hope they continue to maintain this quality and price point while swiftly releasing both Blaster Form Tekkaman and other armored knights! That's all.
