AMAZINGUMMY FORM

This special form of Kamen Rider Gavv is achieved when Gavv combines with the Amazingummy Gochizo. It first appeared in Episode 48.

Height: 197.3cm
Weight: 80.8kg
Punching Power: 8.8t
Kicking Power: 9.0t
Jumping Power: 7.3m
100m Dash: 6.0 seconds

The suit's primary colors are red, yellow, purple, and black. Its full-body armor is composed of biological tissue generated from the Amazing Gummy Kashi Beast, possessing an astonishing amount of energy. Simply releasing excess energy can generate intense heat that distorts the surrounding air. Its hands are imbued with scorching heat, dramatically increasing its destructive power, allowing it to unleash high-speed, rapid-fire punches. Its legs deliver superheated kicks, boasting astonishing destructive power capable of melting its targets.

Rather than a typical toy review, let's discuss Bandai's crisis management in this instance.

Frankly, aside from the paint application, the Amazing Gummy Form's sculpt itself had no issues. The main controversy this time stemmed from the official product images and display samples, where the metallic red appeared as a very plasticky, glittery pink. Furthermore, the purple on the back – a crucial detail – was completely unpainted, making it feel more like a Shodo figure! Initially, Bandai stood firm, stating that the product description already mentioned discrepancies between the actual product and promotional images. This, of course, was unacceptable to collectors!

Ultimately, consumers in Japan and other regions likely filed complaints with their local consumer protection agencies regarding the product description and quality. In the end, Bandai magnanimously announced that customers dissatisfied with the product could return it for a full refund. I believe this move finally helped to quell the entire incident.

In recent years, frankly, Bandai has had quite a few product missteps, such as with the God Gundam, Zero Two, and EZ8 figures, among others. However, as Japan's largest toy manufacturer, Bandai has consistently offered replacements for problematic parts. While inconvenient for customers, this approach has largely saved face for the brand and maintained its reputation as a major player.

As a consumer, do you buy into these arrangements? Personally, I just feel for the customer service team who have to deal with it all...
