The highly anticipated "Supergirl" solo film, a spin-off from James Gunn's new DC Universe "Superman" series, has finally unveiled its character posters. These specialized posters are typically released in the final stages of a movie's promotional campaign.

"Supergirl" is directed by Craig Gillespie, known for "Cruella," and features a screenplay penned by DC's go-to writer Ana Nogueira. Nogueira is also currently developing live-action films for "Teen Titans" and a new "Wonder Woman" movie.

The film boasts a stellar cast, with Milly Alcock, the breakout star from HBO's "House of the Dragon," portraying Supergirl, Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin. Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts takes on the role of the main antagonist, Krem of the Yellow Hills. Former "Aquaman" star Jason Momoa makes a jump to the new DCU as the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. Cannes Film Festival award-winner Emily Beecham plays Kara's mother, Alura In-Ze, while David Krumholtz is cast as Kara's father, Zor-El. David Corenswet, who will lead "Superman," also makes a cameo appearance as Superman/Kal-El. The film is slated for a June 26, 2026 release in North America.
