French action director Louis Leterrier, known in Hollywood for helming blockbuster hits like "Clash of the Titans" and "The Incredible Hulk," is set to release a more intimate thriller this year, "The Last House," with its first trailer just dropping.
The screenplay was penned by Matthew Robinson, co-writer of "Love and Monsters," and the film is slated to premiere on Netflix on August 7.

The official synopsis states: Like the rest of humanity, a family suddenly finds themselves trapped in their home one day. As resources dwindle and an ominous threat preventing their escape looms closer, the entire family must work together to survive. Information from the trailer suggests that the entities imprisoning humanity are invading aliens or some form of supernatural monsters.
Regarding the starring cast, the film features Golden Globe nominee Greta Lee from "Past Lives" and Cannes Best Actor Wagner Moura.
