Even before "Stranger Things" concluded its run earlier this year, showrunners the Duffer Brothers had already inked a four-year first-look deal with Paramount Pictures, signaling their next career chapter and a focused expansion into feature films. Today, Paramount officially announced that an untitled new movie, written and directed by the Duffer Brothers, is scheduled for a wide theatrical release on November 3, 2028.

Paramount has yet to reveal further details about the film. Beyond the Duffer Brothers writing and directing, all other aspects—including cast, story synopsis, genre, and themes—remain under wraps. This project marks the Duffer Brothers' return to feature filmmaking after an 11-year hiatus. Before dedicating themselves to "Stranger Things," they made their feature writing and directing debut with "Hidden" in 2015. Since then, the duo has exclusively worked on television series, making this their highly anticipated comeback to the big screen.
