Netflix recently lost the bidding war for Warner Bros. Semafor indicates that Netflix's next potential acquisition is Lionsgate, the studio behind the "John Wick" universe, the "Twilight" series, and "The Hunger Games" franchise. Lionsgate had reportedly been seeking a sale as early as two years ago, facing financial difficulties after a string of film flops. Legendary Entertainment was also previously rumored to be interested in taking over Lionsgate. Now, the industry waits to see who will emerge as the successful bidder.
