The "James Bond" spoof spy comedy series "Austin Powers" was a massive hit in the late nineties and early 2000s. However, since the release of its third installment, "Austin Powers in Goldmember," in 2002, the franchise has been dormant for 24 long years. Despite director Jay Roach and star/writer Mike Myers repeatedly expressing their willingness to return for a sequel during this period, no concrete progress had ever been announced.

Now, Myers has finally delivered a definitive answer, confirming that a fourth film is absolutely happening. During an appearance on comedian Trevor Noah's World Cup Watch Party, Myers was asked, "Are we ever going to see 'Austin Powers 4'?" He responded with a straightforward and concise "Yes!" While Myers didn't reveal further details about the production, it's now certain that the fourth installment is officially on track.
Before the fourth film officially arrives, fans can still get their "Austin Powers" fix with themed advertisements. Coincidentally, US telecom giant Verizon just released a new promotional video (linked above) today, reuniting Myers as Dr. Evil, Seth Green as Scott Evil, Mindy Sterling as Frau Farbissina, and Rob Lowe as Number Two. It's the perfect opportunity for fans to revisit the beloved characters.
