Chinese toy brand HIYA Toys is expanding its high-quality 6-inch "Exquisite Super" action figure line. Following their previous Motoko Kusanagi release, they're now launching a new "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C." themed product: the Motoko Kusanagi Battle Suit Ver. 1/12 Scale Action Figure. Priced at $99, it's slated for a Q2 2027 release!
"Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" is a 2002 TV anime series produced by Production I.G., adapted from Masamune Shirow's "Ghost in the Shell" manga, which first began serialization in 1989. Set in a technologically advanced world where humans and machines have merged to form a new societal structure, the story revolves around the special operations unit "Public Security Section 9," tasked with combating crime and terrorism, and its protagonist, Motoko Kusanagi, whose brain has been transplanted into a cybernetic body.
This Motoko Kusanagi Battle Suit Ver. 1/12 scale action figure stands approximately 14.5 cm (5.7 inches) tall, capturing the Major in her form-fitting combat attire. The tactical jacket is meticulously crafted from real fabric, while the shoulder armor is made from PVC, allowing for dynamic posing thanks to the figure's high articulation. Accessories include two interchangeable face plates, eleven interchangeable hands, a rifle, an anti-tank rifle, a pistol, a tactical knife, a shooting effect part, and a broken left arm replacement part.
