The acclaimed directorial duo behind "Everything Everywhere All at Once," Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as Daniels), have been developing their untitled sci-fi feature for four years. Last month, Matt Damon was confirmed to star, and now Deadline reports that Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh and Charles Melton, both of South Korean descent, have joined the cast.
According to World of Reel, Sandra Oh is set to play Damon's wife, suggesting Melton will likely portray their son. Additionally, two-time Oscar winner Emma Stone was recently rumored to be in talks for a role.

The Hollywood Reporter previously revealed that the film's narrative elements include global warming, time travel, and potential superhero themes. The story will reportedly unfold across two timelines—one set in the 1980s and another in the modern day—with teenagers serving as the central protagonists, at least in the 80s storyline. Ricky Man also indicated today that the film is indeed a superhero genre piece, with global warming serving as the "villain."
While still untitled, the film is slated for a November 19 release next year, targeting the lucrative Thanksgiving holiday window. Kwan and Scheinert have described the project as an "existential" sci-fi action comedy, echoing the thematic depth of "Everything Everywhere All at Once."
