MECHA SMILE, a Japanese brand specializing in plastic model kits, has announced the latest addition to its "MODEROID" series: the "MODEROID Miniature Combining & Transforming Getter Dragon" from the anime "Getter Robo G," slated for release in November 2026.
Getter Robo G is a colossal robot constructed from G-Synthetic Steel after the New Saotome Lab was rebuilt and a Getter Ray amplification device was developed. It boasts ten times the power of the original Getter Robo. The mecha is formed by the combination of three Getter Machines: the "Dragon" piloted by Ryoma Nagare, the "Liger" piloted by Hayato Jin, and the "Poseidon" piloted by Benkei Kuruma. Depending on combat requirements, these machines can transform and combine into different configurations: the aerial combat form "Getter Dragon," the ground combat form "Getter Liger," and the underwater combat form "Getter Poseidon."
The "MODEROID Miniature Combining & Transforming Getter Dragon" kit features multi-colored molded parts, some pre-painted components, and decals. Builders can assemble the mini-sized, vibrantly colored "Dragon," "Liger," and "Poseidon" machines. These three machines can then seamlessly combine into the approximately 11.5 cm tall "Getter Dragon" through a fully transformable mechanism that requires no part swapping. Once combined, the figure not only boasts excellent proportions and refined armor details but also offers dynamic posing thanks to its articulated joints.
