The MODEROID model kit series, launched by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, has announced its latest product from the anime "Legendary Giant Ideon": the "Mini Transformable Ideon," slated for release in November 2026.
The Legendary Giant Ideon is the ultimate weapon, restored and modified by Earthlings after excavating the ruins of the Sixth Civilization. This colossal robot, formed by the combination of three machines (A, B, and C), stands at an impressive 105 meters tall and weighs 5,650 tons. Driven by the infinite power of "IDE," Ideon possesses overwhelming combat capabilities, capable of delivering massive destructive force through melee attacks alone. It also boasts 16,000 missiles hidden throughout its body, capable of simultaneous, multi-directional barrages. In the later stages of the story, Ideon gains weapons powered by miniature black holes (MBH), including the "Wave Motion Gun," which fires a destructive wave that annihilates vast amounts of matter, and the "Ideon Sword," a colossal blade formed by converging long-range beams from its arms, powerful enough to cleave a planet in two.
The "MODEROID Mini Transformable Ideon" kit features multi-colored molded parts, some pre-painted components, and decals, allowing builders to assemble the mini-sized, vibrantly colored "Ideon Delta," "Ideon Nova," and "Ideon Buster" machines. These three units can seamlessly combine into the approximately 13 cm tall Ideon through a complete transformation and combination mechanism that requires no parts swapping. Once combined, Ideon not only boasts high-density detailing and a striking physique but also features articulated joints throughout for dynamic posing.
