(Warning: Minor spoilers for "Toy Story 5" ahead.)
With "Toy Story 5" now rolling out in theaters worldwide, many of its plot points are generating major buzz. One of the most talked-about developments involves Jessie's return to the childhood home of her original owner, Emily. While Emily doesn't physically appear in the final film, Jessie does find a photograph of her as an adult and mother, discovering that she was never forgotten.
However, Pixar had initially considered a face-to-face reunion between Jessie and Emily. In an interview with SlashFilm, the film's co-writer and co-director, Kenna Harris, revealed what that original ending looked like.

"Emily is a grandmother now, and in a touching climactic scene, she was going to introduce her beloved childhood toy (Jessie) to her own granddaughter," Harris described. "I drew this sketch [pictured above] to capture that special, nostalgic moment. While the movie ended up going in a different direction, we always knew that the special emotional bond between Jessie and Emily was an important core of 'Toy Story 5.'"

Fellow director Andrew Stanton also told SlashFilm that an origin story for Bullseye was also planned but ultimately scrapped. "I felt it was a distraction, because the scenes were really good, but they didn't help the story we were trying to tell, so we removed them," he said. "Once we realized that the story was really about friendship and the difficulty of that for Bonnie, we knew where we were going and what needed to go. There are a lot of deleted bits where I still go, ‘Why did we cut that? Oh, right, because it has nothing to do with the story we’re telling now.’”
