Both films are helmed by popular YouTuber-turned-filmmakers, Kane Parsons and Curry Barker, respectively, neither of whom is over 27 years old. Now, Parsons and Barker share another commonality: both have been recruited by horror maestro James Wan, the visionary behind "The Conjuring" universe. Parsons' "The Backrooms" was already co-produced by Wan.
